THE SPRING TRAVEL SEASON

The NTF Travel Season begins in April. With only one exception (below), Pony Travel players will have team travel events only on weekends (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday) throughout April and May so as not to conflict with NTF Pony House League games.  In most cases, those will be practices, but teams will have the option of scheduling games, and, in fact, all teams will participate in one local spring tournament in late April or early May.

THE SUMMER TRAVEL SEASON

The summer part of the travel season will begin, for each team, with a tournament on Memorial Day weekend.  In 2017, our 13A1 and 14A1 teams competed in the Glenview Salute To The Troops Tournament, our 13A2 and 13B teams competed in the KWBA Bulldog Classic, and our 14A2 team competed in the Vernon Hills Spring Bee.  All of our teams played in the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League, and we won each of the four leagues we competed in, the first time in history that had been accomplished.  That league season runs from late May to late July.  Full details can be found at www.lsfbl.com.  In addition, our 13U players participate in a two skills week camp (two hours per day), during which they get the opportunity to work with many of our coaches and IBA evaluators on skills they will use every day during the travel season.
We believe this program balances the demands on multi-sport athletes with the need for everyone to be ready for the travel season from day one, and encourages accountability and responsibility of our players.

ALL PLAYERS AND THEIR FAMILIES SHOULD BE AWARE OF AND MUST COMPLY WITH THE NTF COMMITMENT POLICIES POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE THROUGHOUT THE SPRING AND SUMMER SEASONS.
